The Old Testament says that the two brothers Cain and Abel one day had the unfortunate idea of making offerings to their god Yahweh. The latter accepted those of Abel, the nomadic breeder, and refused those of Cain, the sedentary cultivator. The sequel is known: out of spite, Cain, the elder, killed Abel, the younger, and thus the first man born of a woman became the first assassin in the history of mankind. What the sacred texts do not say is that this original crime was perpetuated through the ages until the time of Babylon. The hour of vengeance of the one and the sacrifice of the other came ... To inaugurate this collection, Guillaume Sorel and Serge Le Tendre reinterpret History and propose an original and unpublished vision of the myth of Cain and Abel.
