TEX:(in Turkish TEKS)
At first, TEX was published in Turkey in the comic book of Kinowa. But we, the Turks, loved Tex more than Kinowa. So,in 1961, Ceylan publishing house published Tex until 1969.(380 issues within 32 pages with the name of 'Super Tex'. In 1990s, ALFA pub.house taken the copyright of Tex and published Tex only 32 issues. The editor of ALFA is Ali RECAN. After that, GALAKSÝ pub.house published Tex only 10 issues with 66 pages. In 1992, a magazine for children(Milliyet Cocuk) gave Tex as a supplement w.th 7 issues. Then TEX didnt published in Turkey for some years like Zagor. In 1996, AD pub.house start to publish it with its original covers and formats. Tex began with the original issue of 354 (La Conguira-Kumpas in Turkish). AD published 26 issues the AKSOY publish 13 issues. In january 2002, OGLAK pub.house were taken the copyright of TEX.They start from (l'oro di klaatu). Also OGLAK, published the GÝGANTE albums of Tex and Tex's most liked adventures with the name of 'Legendary adventures' over 500 pages:-) (Seinfield:-)....Did you hear?) They published 2 legendary albums. The editor and translator of OGLAK is Zeynep AKKUS. OGLAK is continue to publish TEX with succesfully with the editorship of Zeynep AKKUS.
As you see, in Turkey, the comics 'change hand' always. One pub.house closed then other continue to publish them:-( This is the one of the big problem in Turkey about comics.
see you in the 'history of Martin Mystere':-) )
greetings from Turkey

It will really be a shame if Bernard miss this topic...some explanation - Bernard is owner of a publishing house called Ludens which publishes Zagor and Tex (still, i hope) here in Croatia - he should see about this Legendary adventures - and than maybe he would get some idea as to how to delight his faithfull customers - 5 hundred pages - i simply cannot belive it - amazing - BERNIE DO SOMETHING...

hahahaaaa.. I think we are lucky than Crotian comic fans. Because Zeynep AKKUS(editor of OGLAK pub.house) is a Turk. And she makes legendary adventures for us. Thnaks GOD:-) (Anyway, it is a joke) I wish the best for Crotian comic fans and I hope you will get 'Legendary adventures' from Bernard.

That is really bargain when you compare it with price of bestsellers in Italy (9.5 euros, 200 pages). Unfortunatelly, financial situation on ex-Yu market is not very good so I am afraid that Mr Bernard and his publishing house Ludens wouldn't stand that kind of project. Tex on 500 pages really looks fantastic but let's be realistic: if Ludens have to publish Tex only once in three months on 96 pages (instead original size of 112) - how can we expect from them to make this expensive project?
Besides, only in Istanbul lives around 10 million people. In all countries of ex-Yugoslavia lives about 20 million inhabitants (last data I have are before war - 23 million inhabitants). Concerning financial potential of these people and their will to spend some money on comicbooks...situation is not brilliant.

I can understand you, Heyoka. Also there is an economic crises in Turkey, still. And there arent many comic readers in Turkey. The prices of comics are expensive and some people cant buy them.(For example: me. I cant buy American comics which are publishing in Turkey. Because If I bought them, then I have no enough money for Bonelli comics. So I make a choice between them)Also situation about comics in Turkey isnot so brillant. But the publishing houses are making sacrifice for pressing comics. But I wish that an album(with 500 pages) will be publish in Crotia, with my all heart:-) take care NEMO
