The number 600 Tex, recently published in Italy, is the pretext for my first foray into the blog of the Portuguese Tex, the world of numbers Texians. With the issue of color last October, the 37th album celebratory color of Sergio Bonelli Editore and 7th Tex, curiously Night Eagle also reaches another milestone, surpassing the eighty thousand pages.
Are in fact 80.003,67 pages Tex edition published by that mythic in several series devoted to Ranger created by G. L. Bonelli. The sixty-seven years after the comma will inevitably derive from the dual character of publishing life. From 1948 to 1967 unpublished stories were published in a format called Striscia (oblong, with dimensions of a strip). To form a page, the unit of "measurement" of this sort are necessary so three Striscia. The Striscia published in that period, plus some added in the process of rendition, are 38.513, equivalent to 12.837,67 pages. To these must be added the 67.166 pages published in the current format directly; immense, in fact those published to date from the page number 69 of 96, water separator page editorial in the life of the current series, first editions, then unpublished.
There are four series that have hosted the Italian adventure novel Tex: a regular series, which restated as I wrote all the adventures published in 973 albums Striscia, divided into 36 series of the first incarnation of the hero editorial, the prestigious series Tex Speciale, the " Texone; Almanacco del West and the Maxi Tex.
Therefore, the pages are distributed as follows:
Tex Regular: 68.323,67 pages (600 albums)
"Texone": 5.374 pages (24 albums)
Maxi Tex: Tavole 4.520 (14 albums)
Almanacco del West: Tavole 1.786 (17 albums)
The total is 655 albums devoted to Tex, who stayed the longest 401 adventure hero Bonelli. Another milestone reached recently with the 14th Maxi, was one of 400 stories. With a simple calculation we found that the average length of an episode of Tex is about 200 pages. But to be accurate at all, in the history of publishing, Tex has a few more adventures. The first, published in 1951, is one entitled "La band del Campesino" Striscia of 32, published in simple sketches and disordered on the back cover of the third series of Striscia. Were readers to guess the correct sequence duty and so in order to refer the episode. The second story, "Lane says Blood," appeared in 1995 at number 27 for Ken Parker Magazine, 32 pages with signatures and Nizzi Ticci. There are also three other adventures brief, but were not always published in magazines Bonelli.
But here's the exact numbers ... in 62 years of publishing life were allowed to write stories of Tex 12 writers, and of these, the first 4 in the classification cover 94% of production. Hey you then scripted the order of pages:
G. L. Bonelli: 30.862,17 pages
Nizzi: 29.571 pages
Boselli: 9.503,5 pages
Nolitta: 5.199 pages
Segura: 1.603 pages
Faraci: 986 pages
Manfredi: 495 pages
Medda: 440 pages
Ruju: 440 pages
Canzio: 342 pages
Berardi: 338 pages
D'Antonio: 224 pages
Gianluigi Bonelli and Nizzi are very close, despite the fact that the former has worked with Tex for 43 years (1948 to 1991), while the second only by 27 (from 1983 to present): In recent times, the pages annually Tex dedicated to haunt the two thousand, the record is from 2002, the year they were published 2005 pages of the Ranger, in the period covered by G. L. Bonelli by contrast, came up to just over 1.300 pages while G. L. Bonelli had "borrowed" his pen to a score of other characters.
However, the creator of Tex will stay for much longer as its most prolific writer, it seems that the only missing Nizzi publish three stories, for a total of 664 pages, half of what it would take to climb to the top of classification and become the illustrious leader. A small record, however, belongs to Nizzi: in a single year (in 2003) produced 1,768 pages of Tex, no one else in the history of the publisher was able to make more pages for a single character in the range of 12 months.
The annual ranking was won 35 times in G. L. Bonelli, 22 times per Nizzi, 4 times and 1 time by Boselli Nolitta. In 2010, now leads by Mauro Boselli.
Now to the designers. 62 are officially those who were engaged to illustrate the adventures of Tex. Officially means that the list that follows takes into account the claims of publications and the website of Sergio Bonelli Editore. According to several sources, there are scattered here and there, especially up to 70 years, many ghost artist, or employees more or less hidden in the official story. We can talk again in the future on the subject of classification "unofficial" Texian designers and see the differences with that officer, it would be a curiosity adapted to this item.

So many designers, especially thanks to the Tex Gigante, but few are true pillars of the collection. A quartet covers more than 50% of production. In the following ten list authors excels 80%.
Tex is perhaps the most international character of the Italian publisher. Since 1986, mainly thanks to the Tex Giants entered the gallery of illustrious designers Tex, many foreign authors, as many as 28% of the adventures of Ranger were not designed by prestigious Italian hands, about 15% of total generation Texian. In the history of Tex happened only in 2002 that were published more pages than Italian foreign, that year the "wider world" beat Italy in 1.115 to 880. This year, after ten years of history will repeat itself while defeat is lower: 994 to 986 for the armada of international designers.
After the Italians, the most prolific designers Texians come from Spain (Ortiz, Font, Blasco, De La Fuente, Sommer and Bernet), followed by Argentina (Repetto and Seijas). Terminating the group Parlov Croatian, Cuban Suarez, Wilson New Zealander and American Kubert.
In the annual ranking, is the most productive Galep 24 times, followed by Letteri (9), Fusco (7), Nicol#242; (5), Ortiz (4), Marcello (4), Ticci (3), Civitelli (2), Repetto (2), Diso (2), Font (2), Villa (1), Bianchini / Santucci (1).
To conclude, some brief numerical curiosities. The top five of the longer stories is as follows:

The very first adventure Tex "Il totem mysterious turn is the shortest, along with three others, with only 32 pages. The two most assiduous author is predictable as it is composed of G. L. Bonelli and Galep who performed together 12.582 pages of Ranger.

| pa,imam talijanske originale i odlično mi izgleda koliko mogu makaronarski jezik razumjet...zanimljivo do kraja izgleda, neki dvoboj alias Sedma runda Texa...samo mislim da je bolje čitat cijelu priču u kompletu ali ko če se stripi pola godine? |

A pa, ako ostavim po strani ono sto je Boselli radio sa Leterijem (svi odreda mi losi), ovaj zadnji Nolitta & Boselli malo je zasran na kraju. Malo cu da se raspisem o istome za koji dan na drugom topicu. Meni je mnogo tezi problem sa Crvenim vukovima, gde je ceo treci strip u kurcu, a prva dva su odlicna. Al ti Crvenui su nekih 5 godina ispred ovoga sto izbacuje Ludens, dovoljno da scenarista ne bude prepoznatljiv. |
