depresivni iskompleksirani primitivac i nadrkana budala kojeg financira stari i koji sa skoro 50 godina nema ni žene ni posla.Pa naravno da je ljut na sve, a narocito na one koji su uspješni.

Žan Žiro, poznat i pod pseudonimima Žir i Mebijus, jedan od najvećih francuskih strip umetnika svih vremena, preminuo je u Parizu posle duge i teške bolesti u 73. godini.


Žan Žiro (Jean Henri Gaston Giraud) tokom svoje neverovatne karijere objavljivao je radove i za Marvel, Dark Horse, Hara-Kiri... Sarađivao je i na snimanju hit filmova među kojima su "Osmi putnik (Alien)" Ridlija Skota (Ridley Scott) i "Peti element" Lika Besona (Luca Bessona).

Žan Žiro rođen je u Nogent-sur-Marne kraj Pariza 1938. godine, a autor je, između ostaih, kultnog stripa o poručniku Bluberiju. Pod pseudonimom Mebijus (Moebius) objavljivao je dela sa naučno-fantastičnom tematikom (Arzah, Crni Inkal - posle šest tomova rad na avanturama Džona Difula preuzeo je njegov student Zoran Janjetov).

Godine 1975. pokrenuo je sa kolegama studio Les Humanoides Associes. Učestvovao je u izradi magazina Metal Hurlant za koji mnogi teoretičari kažu da je promenio stav o stripu i pomogao da se na njega ne gleda kao na laku zabavu.

Tužna je činjenica da ni na jednom važnijem domaćem portalu ni dan poslije još nema ni retka o Giraudovoj smrti. Ipak, evo nešto sitno, nepotpisano i s ponekom pogreškom s Metroa:

Otac Blueberryja, poznat po svom fantastičnom detaljnom crtežu i sjajnim pričama napustio nas je u 74. godini
Poručnik Blueberry najpoznatiji je strip Jean Girauda

Tužna vijest za sve ljubitelje stripa, umro je veliki Jean Giraud, tvorac legendarnog Blueberryja. Jean Giraud, rođen u malom mjestu Nogent-sur-Marne kraj Pariza, poznat je i pod pseudonimima Gir i Moebius.

Prije nego je napunio 18-tu godinu, nacrtao je svoj prvi strip za Far West magazin, koji se zvao Frankie et Jeremie, western-tematike. 1963. izlazi prva epizoda stripa koji je proslavio ime Jean Giraud. Radi se o stripu Blueberry, kojeg Gir radi sa scenaristom Jean-Michel Charlierom. Prva epizoda izlazi u 210-tom broju magazina Pilote, pod nazivom Fort Navaho. Svojim nekonvencionalnim stilom odmah je postigao uspjeh, i Blueberry je uspješno izlazio sve do 1990. godine.

1975. s kolegama strip umjetnicima osniva studio/poduzeće Les Humanoides Associes (kolege su bili Jean-Pierre Dionnet, Philippe Druillet i Farkas). Skupina poznata i kao Bande Dessinee odmah izdaje i prvi proj magazina Metal Hurlant, koji u potpunosti mijenja percepciju stripa u javnosti i ustoličuje ga u krug umjetnosti (deveta umjetnost).

Strip Arzach, koji je objavljen u tom broju Metal Hurlanta, potpisan je sa Moebius, koji od tada postaje Giraudov alter-ego koji stvara stripove nadrealne, odnosno SF tematike.

1981. u suradnji sa čileanskim redateljom i scenaristom Alejandrom Jodorowskym objavljuje famozni Incal, četverotomnu seriju koja po mnogima predstavlja najbolji SF-serijal, i to ne samo u okviru stripa.

Giraoud je participirao i u mnogim filmovima, uključujući i legendarne Alien (1978.) Ridleya Scotta i Peti element (1997.) Luca Bessona.
