Sarajevo Tango is an anti-war comic book/graphic novel by Hermann initially released in 1995 . Sarajevo Tango is also the first Hermann’s big work done in direct color, and according to several critics, one of his finest.

The book is dedicated to innocent victims of Sarajevo siege and Bosnian war, moreover, copies of this work have been sent to various politicians, artists, journalists and celebrities in the world. On the surface the book follows a crime story that takes place in Sarajevo during the siege (1992-1995). However, in the background of a crime story Herman clearly shows his disgust with the international community-in particular with its lack of action and decisiveness in preventing killings that occurred in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the war (1992-1995).

The book is dedicated to Karim Zaimović (Strip Art Features 1996 edition, page 2), a young journalist and publicist killed in Sarajevo during the siege by shell launched from Serbs mortar, and in part to Ervin Rustemagić, Hermann’s personal friend and survivor of Sarajevo siege. English language copy-rights of the book were awarded to Strip Art Features.

In 1995 Herman received Durbuy-Grand Prix for Sarajevo Tango.

Predoslovno.
Čitao prije nekih 17 godina, kad je kod nas i objavljeno.
Ja necu imati s kim ostati mlad ako svi ostarite,

čita prije nekih 8-9 godina valjda. ništa posebno
depresivni iskompleksirani primitivac i nadrkana budala kojeg financira stari i koji sa skoro 50 godina nema ni žene ni posla.Pa naravno da je ljut na sve, a narocito na one koji su uspješni.

Ne gotivim previse Hermanov crtez ali je strip vrlo dobar imaci u vidu tematiku o srpskom ekstremizmu, ubijanju i mucenju Sarajeva vrloo dobro ispricano ukratko. Da je bilo vise ovakvih ljudi mozda bi bilo manje ubijanja i mozda bi jadna Evropa pokusala da zaustavi ubijanja Bosne.

Nema tu negdje izmedju, 11,000 civila je mucki topovima i snajperima pobijeno..tu nema sta da se krije i toboze trazi neko manje 'bolno' opravdanje za srpski zlocin.

Bas zanimljivo kako ljudi vole gledati samo svoju stranu i cinicno potezati cifre. A kazi mi ti posto vec sve znas, kako su oni nesrecnici zavrsili na deponiji u Buca Potoku? Jel oni mozda nisu bili Sarajlije? I njih su pobili snajperi i topovi sa okolnih brda? I kol'ko ih je jos kojima se ni ne zna za grob.

I da, da se razumemo jednu stvar: Nesrecna opsada Sarajeva jeste jedna velika tragedija za sve, i nakon svega potpuno nepotrebna kao i citav rat u Bosni. Niko tu nista nije dobio, svi su izgubili.
