You might argue the abacus was the worlds first PC, but the Computer History Museum bestows that title upon the Kenbak-1, sold for $750 through Scientific American in 1971.
“Designed by John V. Blankenbaker using standard medium-scale and small-scale integrated circuits, the Kenbak-1 relied on switches for input and lights for output from its
256-byte memory,” the Museum states. Only about 40 were sold.
Another PC known as the Datapoint 2200 was also first sold in 1971. It was more commercially successful than the Kenbak despite prices starting at $5,000, and remains notable
for its CPU, an ancestor of the now-ubiquitous x86 instruction set. |

Prvi koncert The Rolling Stonesa – 1962.
Na tom prvom koncertu nastupila su šestorica: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart,
Dick Taylor i Tony Chapman. Do danas su ostali u grupi samo Jagger i Richards, koji su i izvorno činili jezgru.
Grupa The Rolling Stones održala je svoj prvi koncert, 12. srpnja 1962. godine, i tako započela dugu tradiciju glazbene popularnosti
koja traje do danas. Tu prvu gažu održali su u klubu Marquee u Londonu, na adresi Oxford Street 165 (danas najprometnija trgovačka
ulica u čitavoj Europi). Na tom prvom koncertu nastupila su šestorica: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Dick Taylor
i Tony Chapman. Do danas su ostali u grupi samo Jagger i Richards, koji su i izvorno činili jezgru. Njih dvojica su se poznavali od djetinjstva,
kad su bili školski kolege (obojica su rođena u gradiću Dartfordu u Kentu).
Zanimljivo je da je ime grupe The Rolling Stones izabrao treći član, Brian Jones, i to impulzivno. Naime, kad je telefonom razgovarao s
vlasnikom lokala, ovaj ga je upitao kako se zove njihova novonastala grupa. Jonesa je nakratko uhvatila panika jer još nisu imali ime.
Pogled mu je pao na ploču blues pjevača Muddy Watersa, na kojoj je bila pjesma Rollin’ Stone. Grupa se prvo doista nazivala The Rollin’ Stone,
a kasnije su dodali slovo g. Zanimljivo je da je Brian Jones bio i prvi vođa grupe, no umro je mlad, sa samo 27 godina života
(kao i Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain i Amy Winehouse).

lag dieser noch abgeschottet inmitten des real existierenden Sozialismus. Der britische Musiker hatte sich dorthin zurückgezogen, um unerkannt ein ruhiges
Leben zu führen. Er entdeckte dort eine ganz eigene, freie und bunte Welt, aus der er neue kreative Energie zog. Verzaubert vom Charme der Metropole
komponierte er drei Alben in drei Jahren, darunter auch sein Meisterwerk „Heroes“.
