Quix was a German pager service operated from 1995 to 2000. In retrospect, the pager was actually a pretty useless invention. The device may have made a certain amount of sense for emergency doctors and drug dealers, but for the average consumer it wasn't much use other than the out-of-pocket costs. High monthly fees, unreliable technology. If the recipient happened to be in one of the numerous dead spots, they wouldn't have received the message - and it wouldn't have been forwarded either. The advertising, on the other hand, was WORLD CLASS. The fancy 90s, after all.
