MORPHINE

Sad bih trebao izdvojiti jedan od pet albuma, ali ne mogu, svi su mi jednako dragi. Band koji je trajao deset godina, sve do trenutka kad Mark Sandman, vođa, osnivač, basista, gitarista i glavni vokal nije umro na bini za vrijeme koncerta od srčanog udara. Band je specifičan po tome što su u potpunosti zanemarili gitaru i prvi plan gurnuli saksofon i bas.

Album ispunjen ugodnim baladama i serenadama bez serendanja, pomalo ima prizvuk kasnih devedesetih.

Mad Season - Above

Layne Staley i Mike McCready u ultimativnoj Grunge-Allstar-Jam Mad Season..fantastican album iz 1994.
Kada su Staleyevi problemi sa drogom ponovo postali akutni, njegov ga frend McCready odvlaci na svoj clean season i tako nastaje ovaj zanimljivi album..
Do novog okupljanja 1997 nije doslo jer je Staley vec bio jako loseg zdrastvenog stanja.
Ipak ovo je jedan od onih albuma koje smatram bezvremenim.

Neznam gdje bi ih svrstao i uopce neznam zasto ih slusam jer uopce nisu moja vrsta glazbe..vjerovatno iz razloga sto je ovo ustvari bend koji je svoju popularnost zasluzio kvalitetom..i sto jednostavno ulaze pod kozu.

Poslednjih nekoliko nedelja sam dosta slušao Byrdse. Mladalački idealizam i zanesenost dobro dođu u ovo doba sveopšteg cinizma.
Odjednom mi se život proširio.

Hazmat Modine - Bahamut (2007)

Još malo kopiranja Waitsa. Na trenutke možda i previše, ali ne toliko da i dalje ne bude dovoljno zanimljivo. Jazz-blues u kombinaciji s underground folk atmosferom i puhačkim instrumentima. Ovaj prvi album kad se sve zbroji je jako dobar, a uz zrno više originalnosti i duše bio bi i odličan. Drugi album "Cicada", po meni, nije donio nikakav pomak, već lagani korak unazad tako da mi je "Bahamut" puno draži.

nekima je to plus a nekima možda minus
