The Magnetic North - Orkney: Symphony Of The Magnetic North

Konceptualni albumi su vecinom nashvacene ideje iz glava njihovih stvoritelja, ali ne i ovaj..ova prica je prelijepa kao i glazba iz koje je nastala..

Lynyrd Skynyrd - The Last Rebel (1993)

Nick Cave je jednom izjavio kako ga nije briga za kritičare, da su to ljudi koji nisu uspjeli u onome što su htjeli raditi pa provedu život kenjajući po onima koji jesu. Bilo je to nakon što je kritika popljuvala njegov album "Nocturama". Meni je taj album jako dobar, ali donekle razumijem iz kojih je razloga kritiziran, ono što ne razumijem je kako je "The Last Rebel" popio loše kritike, jedan od većih upitnika u mom shvaćanju rock glazbe.
Dakle drugi album druge generacije južnjačkih rockera jedno je kvalitetno i pjevno rock ostvarenje koje me već petnaestak godina od kad sam ga nabavio na audio kazeti iznova oduševljava. Pjesma "Born to run" kojom zatvaraju album meni osobno ozbiljno konkurira za najbolju rock stvar ikada, ako se takve liste uopće mogu raditi i uz jedan ogroman naklon nedavno preminulom Jon Lordu, od 4:40 pa do samog kraja slušajte najbolje prstuljanje po tipkama ikada.

Ne slušan puno post-rocka, al ovaj album mi je uz Hymn to the Immortal Wind od benda Mono nešto najbolje šta sam do sada čua od tog žanra. Tri pisme, album traje taman nešto više od uru vrimena i moran priznat da izrazito opuštajuće djeluje na mene još otkad sam ga prvi put posluša. Svakome kome se sviđa ovakvi đir muzike preporučan da ga prisluša, po mogućnosti navečer i negdi di nema pretjerane buke u pozadini. Ko stvoren je za zatvorit oči i samo slušat.

Anais Mitchell - Young Man In America (2012.)

Drugi album kantautorice pomalo neobična glasa. Prvi album (Hadestown) mi je kudikamo sadržajno i izvedbeno jači, možda zbog mita o Orfeju i Euridici koji se provlači kroz čitav album (i odličnih gostujućih glazbenika). Drugi album prolazi pod razno, nema u sebi težinu prvoga.

Popić. Prosječan album, ako ne i ispodprosječan za autoricu njezinih sposobnosti. Nema meni do albuma "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie", kvragu, najbolje bi bilo da je nakon njega prestala snimati.

Prilicno zanimljiva igrica izmedu Banjo i Klavira samo tek negdje na trenutke podpomognuta elektricnim zvukom.
