U 68. godini života umro je filmski redatelj Tony Scott, mlađi brat Ridleyja Scotta. Navodno je počinio samoubojstvo.

Bio je redatelj prepoznatljivog vizualnog stila, koji nam je podario hitove i klasike kao što su The Hunger, Top Gun, The Last Boy Scout, True Romance, Crimson Tide, Enemy of the State, Man on Fire i Unstoppable.

Zadnji film sam gledao "Pelham"...
Bas sam razmisljao o jednom filmu da dloadam "Hunger" i cijelo vrijeme nisam znao da ga je on rezirao....

Zanima me sto je covjeku doslo da napravi ovo.
Nisam bio neki fan njegovog "epilepticar s kamerom" vizualnog stila, i osim True Romance i Last Boy Scout nijedan njegov film mi se nije svidio, ali ovo je jebeni shok. Zao mi njegove obitelji...Ridley ostaje sam u Scott Free Productions...

Uh, ovo me iznenadilo... Pa što mu je to trebalo, pa nije mu valjda tako teško bilo u životu. Za njega uopće ne bih mislio da je sposoban za tako nešto. U godinama kada ležerno može snimati filmove, i opustiti se.

Bolje da je bio u filmu "Bridge too far" ("Nedostizni most") nego da napravi tu glupost,imao je sve novac,slavu, ali eto nesto ga je slomilo i skocio u povijest...
Imao je stila u snimanju i uvijek sam volio one prigusene-zadimljene atmosfere u prostorijama i kad je prikazivao likove u sjeni i slicno...Revenge (1990) pred par godina ga gledao prvi put....

Priča se da je imao neoperativan tumor na mozgu.
Ostavio dva oproštajna pisma u kojima piše da hoće
poštediti obitelj i prijatelje od boli i brige za njega.

Pocivao u miru veliki gospodine Scott. Izgubio si kompas pred kraj zivota, ali, samo za Top Gun i Last Boy Scout, kod mene imas kredit za vijek vijekova. Vecna ti slava, i bez puno guzve na autoputu za danger zone.
Ko igra za raju, i zanemaruje taktiku, zavrsit ce karijeru u nizerazrednom Vratniku.
