Glumac Herbert Lom, najpoznatiji po ulozi policijskog inspektora Charlesa Dreyfusa iz filmskog serijala o Pink Pantheru, umro je u četvrtak u dobi od 95 godina, javili su britanski mediji.

Čeh po rođenju, život je proveo u Velikoj Britaniji gdje je uz Petera Sellersa glumio u nekoliko filmova serijala o Pink Pantheru kao iritantni šef inspektora Clouseaua.

Lom se pojavio u više od 100 filmova tijekom 60-godišnje glumačke karijere, među ostalima u klasicima poput Spartaka i El Cida. U dvije prigode utjelovio je i Napoleona Bonapartea, a jedna od njih je bila filmska adaptacija Tolstojevog romana Rat i mir.
