Content: Louis-Charles Bouteloup is a young medical student who is sent in early 1916 in the trenches of the First World War. His unit, the outpatient unit 13, after a few hours under heavy fire. Bouteloup must face the horrors and absurdities of this war.

Slab sam na Prvi svjetski rat, ali mi se crtež Alaina Mourniera ne sviđa.
U totalima još donekle i prolazi, ali nekako mi likovima nedostaje ljudskosti, odbojni su mi i površni, izgledaju kao lutke.
Ja necu imati s kim ostati mlad ako svi ostarite,
i ta ce mi mladost teško pasti...
