Manfred Evertz
Manfred Evertz was born in Duisburg and educated at the Art Academy in Essen. He grew up and studied at the end of the Modernism period in the 1950s and 1960s and has always felt connected to the Postmodernism movement. He has had several stages in his fine art, from Dadaism to pop-art and eventually to topical forms.
Evertz was an illustrator for Hydro, Illustret Vitenskap, Hjemmet, Cappelen and the University Press in Norway during the 1970s and 1980s. In the mid 1980s he drew the fantasy comic 'Die Wolfsbraut' for the collection Beta Comic-Album. Evertz then moved his focus from illustration to paintings and installations. He has participated in several solo and group exhibitions. He resides in Norway.
