Ruski predsjednik Vladimir Putin rekao je u razgovoru za ruske medije kako nema nikakvog razloga napadati Trumpa jer ga niti ne poznaje. Pritom se referirao na medijske napise da Rusija navodno posjeduje neke kompromitirajuće materijale protiv Trumpa. Putin je istaknuo kako ljudi koji stoje iza zadnjih optužbi protiv Trumpa (riječ je o optužbi za seksualne perverzije u jednom moskovskom hotelu) "nemaju moralnih skrupula".
"Ne poznajem gospodina Trumpa osobno, nisam ga nikada susreo i ne znam što će učiniti na međunarodnoj pozornici. Dakle, nemam osnova da ga napadam ili kritiziram zbog bilo čega, ili da ga branim ili bilo što drugo", rekao je Putin.
Komentirajući situaciju u SAD-u Putin je također rekao kako unatoč pobjedi Trumpa u zemlji očito traje intenzivna politička borba. "Određene snage žele potkopati legitimitet novog predsjednika. Imam osjećaj da su se te osobe vježbale u Kijevu i da su spremne organizirati Majdan u Washingtonu", rekao je Putin referirajući se na prosvjede i oružane sukobe u glavnom gradu Ukrajine 2014. godine kada je s vlasti u državnom udaru srušen predsjednik Viktor Janukovič.

ISIS has been sending a huge amount of reinforcement to Deir Ezzor because of devastating losses they have sustained in their battle against the Syrian Army.
Most of the reinforcements are coming from villages in the Deir Ezzor countryside and from Iraq, primarily from Anbar Province where they are being routed by Iraqi forces.
According to ground sources, tens of dead bodies of fighters for the terrorist group are continually being transferred from the front lines in Deir Ezzor to towns and villages in the countryside that they occupy and returned to their families.
Despite a successful offensive thus far for the terrorist group, this has mostly stalled and come at a high price in terms of manpower.

According to a military source in Damascus, the soldiers at the Deir Ezzor Airport reported that as many as 40 Islamic State terrorists were killed during last night's attack, including a large number of foreign combatants.
The military source added that the Islamic State's primary assault is now over; this comes after a successful five day operation in which the terrorist group managed to besiege the airport from three sides.
Pa, nada uvijek postoji ... mislim da za Damask predaja nije opcija (za ljude tamo jos manje), pitanje je samo koliko IS jos ima snage. Rado bih rekao da nema sanse da DE padne, ali ... zarecenog kruha se najvise pojede (duboko u sebi drzim da ce opstati). Ako jos malo izdrze i uspiju se pregrupirati za proboj (do sada su dovezli nekih +200 novih boraca, plus opskrba iz zraka) ... imaju sanse. Ali svakako treba (i kasnije) nesto napraviti u vezi DE - nove snage i prosiriti "buffer zonu". Previse je vrijedan da bi ga se zakockalo.
SAA izgleda vec radi na tome iz podrucja Aleppa i Hame/Homsa. Napreduje se prema Palmiri, a danas su krenuli prosiriti koridor preko kojeg se snabdijeva Aleppo - kod Khanassira su potisnuli IS nekoliko kilometara prema istoku. Ona veca grupacija SAA snaga kod Kuweires aerodroma bi mogla krenuti i nadole prema Tabqi i na taj nacin ne napraviti istu gresku kao prosli put (kada su isli samo preko Ithriyje).

Syrian and Russian jets have been nonstop bombing the Islamic State (ISIS) militants across the Syrian Desert today, destroying several of the terrorist group's trenches and hideouts in order to forestall their offensive operations.
With Russian and Syrian airstrikes bogging ISIS down in Deir Ezzor and east Palmyra, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has taken the opportunity to regroup and prepare a large-scale counter-attack to recover what they have lost to the terrorist group over the last six days.

Syrian Army launches counter-attack to lift siege on Deir Ezzor Airport
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a powerful counter-attack on Friday to lift the one week long siege of the Deir Ezzor Airport.
Led by the Qassem Group of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the Islamic State's (ISIS) defenses at the cemetery, Harabish District, Al-Jafra, Jirayah, and Panorama area; this resulted in a fierce battle that is still ongoing at the moment.
According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army is attempting to recapture the area north of the Deir Ezzor Airport; if successful, they will have lifted the one week long siege of this strategic installation.
Backing the ground forces are Russian and Syrian jets, who have carried out a large number of airstrikes in order to weaken the Islamic State's resolve around the military airport and Jabal Thardeh.
Some activists have reported the Syrian Arab Army has advanced south of the Deir Ezzor Airport; however, the Al-Masdar cannot confirm these claims.
