Strip Bila Votersona (Bill Watterson) „Kalvin i Hobs” izlazio je u dnevnim novinama od 18. 11. 1985. do 31. 12. 1995. Svaki dan po jedan geg-kaiš, a nedeljom kolorna tabla.
Od 1987. se objavljuju sabrani u knjige. Ceo serijal, oko 3.150 stripova, objavljen je u 11 kolekcija koje su u poslednjih 35 godina štampane u velikom broju izdanja i prevedene na XY jezika.

Premda imena Kalvin i Hobs nedvosmisleno upućuju na teologa Žana Kalvina i filozofa Tomasa Hobsa, nisu svi prevodioci poštovali autorovu ideju.
Ovo je uporedni popis imena glavnih likova na raznim jezicima.
Ima nekih teško shvatljivih odstupanja. U svakom slučaju, zabavno je videti.

How many strips are there? A response to a question on this sub from 2 years ago

2 years ago u/-TracerBullet made a post on this sub about what the total number of Calvin and Hobbes comic strips is. Between OP's math and the math done by u/dvlsg, there are possible totals listed of 3167, 3171, and 3152.
Let's take this year-by-year to find the correct answer:
• The strip premiered on November 18, 1985. As such, there were only 44 days in 1985 that a strip was published. Accounting for the fact that two strips exist for November 28th, there are 45 strips in 1985.
• 1986 was a full year for CaH, and therefore had 365 strips. That brings our total to 410.
• 1987 was another full year of 365, bringing the total to 775.
• 1988 was a leap year, so there were 366 strips total. Our total is at 1141.
• 1989 and 1990 were both full years of 365 each. Our total is now 1871.
• 1991 is where things get tricky, as Watterson began his first sabbatical during this year. u/dvlsg used May 6th as the beginning of the sabbatical, but it's actually May 5th, as you can see here that the strip on May 5th is a repeat from a 1986 strip. Therefore, CaH ran without repeats for 124 days in 1991 (the first four months of the year plus the first 4 days in May). That brings our total to 1995.
• Watterson's sabbatical ran through all of January and the first day of February of 1992 (32 days total), but 1992 was also a leap year. 365 + 1 - 32 = 334 strips in 1992. Our total is now 2329.
• The strip ran uninterrupted in 1993, so there were 365 strips, and our total is now 2694.
• 1994 was the year of Watterson's second sabbatical, which began on April 3rd and ran all the way until the end of the year. As such, there were only 92 strips in 1994 (the first 3 months plus the first two days of April). Like the first sabbatical, u/dvlsg was one day off on when the sabbatical began, listing it as April 4th. However, the strip on April 3rd was a repeat of a 1990 strip. Our total is now 2786.
• Watterson came back right on January 1st of 1995 and the strip ended on December 31st, so 1995 was a full year of 365 strips. That brings our grand total to 3151.
So there you have it, 3151 Calvin and Hobbes comic strips exist. 3150 if you choose not to count the 11/28/85 alternate strip. Of those, 450 are Sunday strips, which u/-TracerBullet was spot-on about.
