Vangelis Papathanasiou, jedan od najznačajnijih kompozitora filmskih soundtrackova, umro je prije dva dana u Francuskoj. Imao je 79 godina. Možda u široj javnosti nije bio poznat kao neki drugi kompozitori, no u karijeri je napravio neke impresivne soundtrackove poput Oskarom nagrađenog soundtracka za Chariots of Fire ili pak onog za Blade Runner, meni osobno njegovog najdražeg uratka.

Blade Runner soundtrack je remek-djelo. 40 godina kasnije i dalje je jednako impresivno.

Obožavao sam ga slušati. Uz Oldfielda i Jarrea činio je sveto trojstvo instrumentalne glazbe.

U autu cesto slusam neke njegove "best of"…

Ta muzika me opusta, podsjeca na zvuke kada pada kisa i udara od neku lokvu u pecini ili ulici buducnosti okupana neonom.

Ako Black Widow dodirom dlana ruke smiruje Hulka, to meni radi ova muzika.

"Kompromisi u kolekcionarstvu su one stvari koje ce ti omoguciti da dozivis starost sa pozamasnom ustedjevinom!"
