Content:
"Good boys grow up to be Soldiers". London in the not too distant future. The government is morally and financially bankrupt. The ex-soldier Rupert Cain has to work as an assassin for the government, for it guarantees these supposedly for the safety of his girlfriend and her father, who was Cain's former superior. But that is still eliminated. Cain is now faced with a crisis in London, a group of strange terrorists and their even stranger receivables and a vengeful ex-girlfriend face while he simultaneously tries to get his messed-up life back on track. Through his research on the backgrounds of the murder of his former superiors Cain caught between all fronts. Only a hostage of the terrorists could provide him answers. Then also still looms No-Face on, the deadly Yankee Dandy.
"Smoke" is a highly explosive, black painting comic thriller with social-satirical overtones and black humor from the pen of the top 20 signatory Igor Kordey (X-Men) , and writer Alex de Campi, which believes "that the pen is mightier than the sword (and is easier to smuggle through security at the airport)".
