Mary Hopkin ~ Knock Knock Who's There (1970)
Written by John Carter & Geoff Stephens. Good Eurovision performance from Mary in 1970. This was the runner-up to the worthy winner, Ireland's Dana with 'All Kinds Of Everything. A quote from co-writer of 'KKWT' John Carter ... 'I think Mary Hopkin regretted Eurovision. She didn't want to do it and was talked into it. I don't think she liked the record.'

Morgan Visconti
Home: http://www.morganhopkin.co.uk/pages/morgan.html
Morgan is the son of Mary Hopkin and producer, Tony Visconti. In addition to writing songs and composing scores for commercials, Morgan is a passionate photographer and visual artist. Always surrounded by music, he grew up fascinated by his father’s hobby, developing black and white prints. More recently Morgan has been involved in restoring some of his great-grandfather Llew E Morgan’s damaged prints in Photoshop.
Although Morgan chooses to shoot on digital SLRs he uses software like Lightroom to bring out the natural feeling of the scene. His favourite subjects are American architecture and industry, the country where he currently resides and the landscapes of Wales, where his family and heart have roots.

Jay and the Americans - This Magic Moment (1969)
After several smash hits in the early and mid 60's ("She Cried," "Cara Mia," "Come A Little Bit Closer"), Jay & The Americans released what I have always felt to be their greatest hit single of all time. "This Magic Moment" reached #5 on Cash Box for two weeks on the weeks ending March 8, 1969 and March 15, 1969. It sold over one million copies and went gold, but, sadly, was the last top ten record for the group. The joyous, romantic rocker, originally recorded by The Drifters and reaching #16 on Billboard in 1960, reprised the simpler style of love ballad that was more common to the late 50s and early 60s; simple, direct, and unrelentingly optimistic.
No deep thinking or analysis regarding the song or this video is required. As the song nears its conclusion, a few characters from some of my other music videos are given an opportunity for an encore. |
