One more book which you can buy as 'print on demand' on Amazon. My friend
and renown comics author from Slovenia, Iztok Sitar (1962), who I enjoyed
many beers with and ate ‘veal under a ceramic pot’ (in Belgrade) and ‘army
beans’ (in Poljane, at his home in Slovenia), developed an emotional graphic
novel about a teenage girl who is plunged into heroin addiction. Iztok’s rugged
drawing style is the most efficient tool to present this story as it really is - harsh,
powerful and with a rare openness to show
something that society wants to conceal.
