Krivo znaš. :)
Naziv države bi se pisao "Texas" ali pridjev je "teksaški".
Slovo X u hrvatskom ne postoji ali iz nekog bizarnog razloga ljudi kod nas obožavaju pisati primjerice "mexički" "sex" i "sexualno".

Ako zaista želiš razumjeti zašto je newyorški ispravno na hrvatskom, a texaški nije, opet predlažem da potražiš pojam egzonim u hrvatskoj enciklopediji (link gore) gdje je to objašnjeno.

Bas neobicno da je Teksas egzonim, a Njujork nije. Njujork je dosta poznatiji i sigurno je prije dosao u dodir sa hrvatskom kulturom.

Slažem se da je neobično. Kao što vidiš, kod egzonima baš i nema nekog striktnog pravila. :)

Nisam siguran je li pogrešno, delboj. Ali ne djeluje mi najbolje (posebno zato što je pokraj toga još naziv druge epizode na čistom engleskom). Možda su obje varijante ispravne; na to bi sigurno bolje znao odgovoriti Aleksandar. Jedino je sigurno da na hrvatskom New York nije Nju Jork, dok je Texas ispravno Teksas.

Njujorški je ispravno. Taj ipsilon je samo pogreška. Ne možeš w ili x izbacit, napisat nju umjesto new a ostavit y.

Znam, ali nije Njujork nego New York.

Nije bitno. Nije ni Vašington nego Washington, ali opet, bar koliko ja znam, pisaće se vašingtonski u hrvatskom.
