The Electric Prunes - I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night) (1966-67) HQ




MUNROWS RETRO

This video is intended to replace the old slideshow version of this song I uploaded back on November 25, 2012
and reposted on January 23, 2013. Although that version isn't bad, this one manages to match most of the lyrics
with a lot of film action. The introduction is from Roman Polanski's film, The Tenant (1976) which appears in later
parts of the video.

The hit single was released in November 1966 and reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #12 on Cash Box on February 25, 1967.

Prva borbena pilotkinja bila je Atatürkova kći





Dana 22. ožujka 1913. rođena je prva žena koja je postala pilotkinja borbenih zrakoplova. Ime joj je bilo Sabiha Gökçen i rođena je na području tadašnjeg
Osmanskog Carstva. Postoje različite teorije o njenom podrijetlu, od toga da je bila Armenka, do toga da joj je majka bila iz Bosne. U svakom slučaju, kad
joj je bilo 12 godina Sabihu je posvojio slavni Mustafa Kemal-paša Atatürk, ključna osoba u turskoj povijesti (osnivač i prvi predsjednik Republike Turske).

Mustafa Kemal-paša Atatürk tijekom života je posvojio najmanje osmero djece (7 kćeri i jednog sina). Biološke djece izgleda da nije imao, barem koliko je
poznato. Sabiha je postala najpoznatija od Atatürkove posvojene djece, jer je postala pilotkinja borbenih zrakoplova, i to kad su joj bile samo 23 godine.
Prvo bojište na kojem je sudjelovala sa svojim borbenim zrakoplovom bilo je u području Dersima u unutrašnjosti Turske, u doba kad su lokalni Kurdi podigli
ustanak protiv turskih vlasti.

Turci i danas visoko cijene Sabihu Gökçen. Primjerice, po njoj je nazvan jedan od dva međunarodna aerodroma u Istanbulu, Međunarodna zračna luka Sabiha Gökçen.
Drugi aerodrom, stariji, nazvan je po njenom poočimu Atatürku. Sabiha Gökçen umrla je točno 88 godina nakon dana svog rođenja.
